Military Police receive awards for valor

Military Police recognized soldiers with awards for service, valor, for injures suffered in combat. On December 6th six Soldiers of the 170th MP Co. were awarded the Purple Heart Medals for injuries suffered while conducting clearing operations in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Four Soldiers received the Army Commendation Medal with Valor awards for valorous acts on the battlefield for their heroism while defending against insurgents during their deployment.

ICIS Innovation Awards announces winners for 2011

Teijin Group dominated in 2011 ICIS Innovation Awards, emerging as overall winner as well as winning Best Product Innovation. Teijin's use of thermoplastic resins enabled it to cut production times to less than one minute and allowed it to weld steel components together. World's biggest companies dominate 2011 Technology Innovation Awards

After Wall Street Journal processed over 600 award applications 35 winners were selected by an independent panel of judges. The Gold award winner was Cellular Dynamics International, which produces human heart cells used to study diseases and develop medicines. The Silver award was presented to Joule Unlimited Technologies Inc. for developing a more efficient technique for producing biofuel. IBM was recognized with The Bronze award went for Watson, the supercomputer system that defeated two grand champions on "Jeopardy!"
